About Sibanye Stillwater
Sibanye-Stillwater is a multinational mining and metals processing Group with a diverse portfolio of mining and processing operations and projects and investments across five continents. The Group is also one of the foremost global PGM auto catalytic recyclers and has interests in leading mine tailings retreatment operations. Sibanye-Stillwater has established itself as one of the world’s largest primary producers of platinum, palladium, and rhodium and is also a top tier gold producer. It produces other PGMs, such as iridium and ruthenium, along with chrome, copper and nickel as by-products. The Group has recently begun to build and diversify its asset portfolio into battery metals mining and processing and is increasing its presence in the circular economy by growing and diversifying its recycling and tailings reprocessing operations globally.
About this Bursary
A limited number of bursaries are awarded annually by the Sibanye Stillwater Bursary Programme to individuals who wish to study for a bachelor's degree at a South African university . These competitive bursaries assist students in preparing for employment and quickly advancing to senior-level roles. Sibanye Stillwater is dedicated to providing students with the chance to start their careers with them and believes that education can improve workplace readiness. Bursaries are available for the following degree programmes: BSc Mining Engineering BSc Mechanical Engineering BSc Electrical Engineering BSc Metallurgical Engineering BSc Geology BSc Chemical Engineering Finance Survey
Eligibility Requirements
The following eligibility requirements must be met by applicants for the Sibanye-Stillwater undergraduate bursary: Must be South African citizens Must be under 21 years old during their first year of study or under 23 years old during their second year of study Must be studying or intending to study full-time towards a degree at a recognized South African university that is acceptable to Sibanye-Stillwater Must provide proof of academic results for grade 11 and progress in grade 12, or possess a grade 12 exemption certificate with acceptable symbols, or provide tertiary results Must have the intention to study for a bachelor's degree full-time in the year following the application Must have been accepted by the university for the degree course as recorded on the bursary application form.
